$100,000 Hilltop Stakes Draws Competitive Field of Ten
Graham Motion will saddle Miss Temple City as the morning line favorite at odds of 8-5. A dark bay daughter of Temple City, she has been on the board in all four career starts and will be trying to earn her first stakes victory. She was second last time out in the Appalachian Stakes (G3) at Keeneland in her second try against graded stakes competition and is scheduled to break from the outside post under jockey John Velazquez.
Ayaady stepping up to stakes company
Second choice at 7-2 on the morning line is Ayaady for trainer Chad Brown. A gray daughter of Tapit, she will be stepping up to stakes company for the first time. She broke her maiden at first asking at Gulfstream in January and was second as the favorite in a competitive allowance race at Keeneland last time out. Javier Castellano will be back in the irons and they will break from the rail as she goes for her second win.
Lady Zuzu may be rounding into form
Also in the field at morning line odds of 6-1 is Lady Zuzu for trainer D. Wayne Lukas. A dark bay daughter of Dynaformer, she has one win from six outings and will be trying for her first stakes victory. After a pair of average efforts, she was able to move forward and finish third in the Edgewood Stakes (G3) in her third start this year. Corey Nakatani will be aboard and they will break from post four.
