$60,000 Pan Zareta Stakes Draws Field of Six
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, the featured race is the 50th edition of the $60,000 Pan Zareta Stakes. Carded to be run at five and a half furlongs on the turf, the race has drawn a field of six fillies and mares.
Good Deed, the runner-up in the 2014 edition of the Pan Zareta, will get a chance to avenge that loss and has been installed as the favorite at morning line odds of 4-5. Trained by Steve Margolis, the six-year-old daughter of Broken Vow is a multiple stakes winner with eight total wins from fifteen starts. She was last seen winning on the Fair Grounds turf as the heavy favorite and will break from post position four under jockey Brian Hernandez, Jr.
Starship Duchess going for first stakes victory

She is trying to earn her first stakes victory and was last seen winning against optional claiming competition. Jockey E.T. Baird will be aboard and they are scheduled to break from the rail.
