Happy My Way trying to rebound off of poor effort
Joe Orseno will saddle second choice Happy My Way at odds of 7-2 on the morning line. A four-year-old gelded son of Wilko, he has won three of his six starts this year. The lone blemish on his record this season came last time out with a sixth-place finish in the Vosburgh (G1). Regular rider Joe Bravo will remain aboard and they are slated to break from the rail as he goes for his seventh career victory.
Sharp filly La Verdad taking on the boys
Also in the field at odds of 12-1 on the morning line is La Verdad for trainer Linda Rice. The lone filly taking on male rivals, the bay daughter of Yes It’s True has won six of her ten starts this year, all of which came against her own gender. Bred in New York, she was last seen defeating state-bred competition as the heavy favorite. Jose Ortiz, her regular rider, will be aboard from post position seven.
